Arusha National Park Day Trip
Overview
The small national park includes the slopes, summit, and ash cone of Mt. Meru, the Momela Lakes, Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush highland forests that blanket its lower slopes.
Itinerary
In the morning your guide will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport. After greetings and a short brief you will start your safari to Arusha National Park. The park has an incredible variety of fauna and flora — Hollywood even chose this region to film the movie 'Hatari!', starring Hardy Kruger alongside the legendary John Wayne. Your day trip includes a visit to the Ngurdoto Crater, where you will see many animals including buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, warthogs, zebras and baboons year-round, as well as many bird species. Lunch is taken at a picnic place, and in the afternoon you continue enjoying the wildlife diversity of the park. Before sunset, you will be taken back to Arusha city.
